GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements all aspect of electrical controls systems software and hardware relevent to equipement used for the processing of implantable medical devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gathers requirements, develops and writes software for PLC and PC based automation equipment and/or visual inspection equipment.
- Supports and/or installs PLC and PC based software applications, participates in testing process through development of software testing routines and test witnessing.
- Designs, plans and coordinates work teams to develop new and debug current controls system platforms, including but not limited to software and hardware.
- Interfaces with customers to determine customer requirements and provide advanced customer support.
- Position will utilize high level procedural language and/or PLC programming.
- Position must demonstrate capability to set up, adjust and work with control system hardware.
- Familiarity with test equipment utilized during the debugging and troubleshooting of automation control systems required.
- Ad-hoc projects as needed.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Position will be responsible for operating milling machines, surface grinders and inspection tools. Ideal candidate will have good analytical skills, excellent mechanical aptitude and a firm understanding of machine tolerances. Machining background and experience with very tight tolerance manufacturing is a plus. Must be able to work on multiple projects, read mechanical prints, and complete QA documentation.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Manufacture of MSI parts utilizing machine shop equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set-up and operation of various wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) to meet the internal design and production needs.
- Experience with G & M codes (read and write) and close tolerances (0.0005” typically).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and sketches.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and provide feedback to improve designs and cycle times.
- Maintain records and clean production areas to comply with medical equipment requirements, good manufacturing practices, and standard operating procedures.
- Must perform detailed work in the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of a variety of custom parts and tools.
- Must practice a high degree of accuracy and precision in performing work according to instructions and specifications.
- Assignments are received in the form of written and oral instructions, penciled layouts, blueprints, sketches, and by reference to worn or broken parts. Work is subject to inspection during process and upon completion for quality and conformity with requirements.
- Fabricates, maintains, and repairs products through the operation of edm machines, milling machines, lathes, grinder, saws, drill presses, and similar equipment;
- Measures work carefully by using precision tools such as a calipers, micrometer, and dial bore gages.
- Uses, adjusts, maintains, cleans, and stores the tools, machinery, and equipment in the machine shop.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality products and seamless customer service..

Manages a team of Software and Electrical Engineers to architect, design enterprise software products/operating systems; and who design, develop, and test all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery. - Proven software development in Java and C++, and VB.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
This position requires that the Assembly Supervisor be self-driven, with an attitude to accept the continuous change in schedules as well as a willingness and eagerness to gain an understanding of our business model, goals and manufacturing supply chain process flow at MSI. Assembly Supervisor must also be able to positively motivate employees and clearly communicate expectations of each employee and the overall team based on the needs of the MSI business model and monthly/quarterly goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct support & oversight of Assembly/Headshop – Daily schedules, Personnel issues, Staffing, Vacations, etc.
- Work with Machine Shop, Purchasing, & Engineering Managers to schedule all projects according to the build schedules, customer needs, and current production load.
- Coordinate daily production flow for the department to effectively meet and exceed revenue goals, and established company expectations.
- Works within the ERP system creating sales orders as a direct back-up and support for the Assistant Operations Manager.
- Provide performance measurements of the department to the Operations Manager on a weekly and monthly schedule.
- Provide quarterly/anually performance reviews for individual assemblers focusing on personal & departmental continuous improvement growth.
- Seek and apply new methods and ideas to manufacturing practices (implementation of continuous improvement plans, participate in Kaizen events, and work alongside the Director of Operations to promote lean manufacturing practices).
- Work with QA to follow through on scrap parts, engineering design issues, MCR’s, and developing a cultural mindset of “In-process quality practices.”
- Participate in coordinating SQA’s/internal FAT’s and final machine run-off’s.
- Participate in maintaining and updating our manufacturing documentation system.
- Scheduling and delegation of tasks related to the daily production scheduling modifications.
- Order and maintain useable bench stock inventory.
- RMA (Return Material Authorization) management and scheduling/prioritization within the department
- Justify and approve overtime for the department through Operations Manager.
- Participate in weekly status update meetings; provide updates on all builds current and future from manufacturing level

To design and develop complex mechanisms and machinery under general supervision utilizing Solidworks® 3D mechanical design and CAD package.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs and assists in the development of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
- May integrate components to produce the final design; and evaluate the design’s overall effectiveness, manufacturability, cost, reliability, and safety.
- In addition to design and development, the position may provide production supervision of parts and equipment, determine the causes of component failure, and test manufactured products to maintain quality.
- Position may be required to assist and communicate with customers the technical aspects of the product and assist in product planning, installation, operation and training.
- Position may be responsible for aspects of a product line.
- In this capacity position is responsible for appropriately documenting design and processes related to the product. Position will be responsible for the construction and maintenance of Bills of Material.
- Position will utilize Solidworks® and PDMWorks® to create and store drawings electronically that can then be viewed, printed, or programmed directly into automated manufacturing systems.
