GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Helps users achieve optimum use of their computer networks by performing needs analysis, procurement support, installation, training and problem resolution for the local and wide area networks. Responsible for configuration, operation, and administration of network server hardware, operating systems, and communications links. Defines and implements solutions to integrate desktop and shared devices into local and wide area networks and/or other host-based networks. Recommends appropriate computer tools to users including equipment software, documentation, and training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzes users' needs. Recommends appropriate network configurations to meet users needs and departmental standards.
  • Implements and maintains bridges, routers, gateways, remote access servers, domain servers, security firewalls, application and device servers and Internet or Intranet devices and connections.
  • Designs, configures, monitors and optimizes local and wide area networks and printers for optimal performance, maximum availability, minimal maintenance, and reasonable costs.
  • Performs preventative and fault isolation maintenance on the local and wide area networks. Performs file maintenance on servers, domains, electronic post offices, and user files and/or data bases.
  • Designs, configures, maintains and manages network security features for local and wide area networks. Configures, monitors, and maintains anti-virus programs to insure network and systems integrity. Adds and deletes users as required on network servers and applications.
  • Performs customization and system administration for network management, task/project management, help desk, work group integration, documentation, and educational software packages on local and wide area networks.
  • Analyzes, recommends, and evaluates new hardware, software, and communications products for network compatibility and applicability.
  • Develops, maintains and updates a library of technical documentation.
  • Performs advanced maintenance on desktop devices when additional expertise is required.
  • Assist departmental management with development of systems standards, short and long term goals, project management, and strategic directions.
  • Keeps current on new developments and techniques in information technology.
  • Some website upkeep.
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods of time. May need to sit, walk, stand, stoop or kneel, use hands to touch, for up to one third (1/3) of the day. Close, distance and color vision are required and must be able read emails, documents and view a computer screen.

WORK ENVIORNMENT:
Some work near moving mechanical parts, with minor risk of electrical shock. Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic) can be expected.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
All duties and responsibilities are performed with close coordination with the Directors of Aftermarket and Marketing, Marketing Managers, Product Managers and Aftermarket Managers.  The successful candidate must be a highly motivated individual who can take initiative and work independently.  Candidate must have excellent written/oral communication skills.  This is a broad position that will include responsibilities with trade event marketing, advertising, PR, promotion, presentations, digital communication and will require communication and coordination between internal and external groups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work together with the Aftermarket and Marketing team to plan and coordinate tradeshow events and associated logistics, including booth, materials and equipment shipments for all tradeshows.
  • Provide administrative support: market research, coordinating materials and information, team meetings, competitive data.
  • Assist the Aftermarket and Marketing team in analyzing and interpreting market activities that will impact the execution of the sales and marketing plans.
  • Oversee and coordinate the data management and follow-up of leads originating from marketing activities.
  • Respond to existing customer requests for product features and benefits, literature/catalogs and technical or engineering support. 
  • Assist with the scheduling of the Field Service Technicians
  • Organize field service notes and input field service data into database.
  • Assist with the preparation of marketing and sales support materials as needed.
  • Continually look for ways to improve the efficiencies of the aftermarket and marketing processes.
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed.

Product Manager I

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The purpose of this position is to manage overall strategies for assigned product lines with domestic and international responsibility for product launch, product line extensions, product life cycle extensions and on-goung market and product research.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish strategic direction for assigned product groups.
  • Working with management, develop annual budgets, forecasts and business plan for assigned product groups.
  • Research, understand and communicate to the entire team the key drivers in strategic markets.
  • Direct, develop and implement product and marketing communication launch plans and sales forecasts for new product launches and existing product line extensions.
  • Determine and execute appropriate market research needed to interact and gain the confidence of our target market.
  • Develop effective external relationships with industry leaders.  Initiate and form strategic business parternships/collaborations in conjunction with the MSI management team.
  • Lead in the development of programs and materials to educate and train cross functional groups including field and in house sales representatives.
  • Manage competitive analysis for all global markets.
  • Provide regular feedback to VFT committees regarding project status and critical issues that may affect the attainment of project goals.
  • Attend relevant scientific and technical meetings, conferences and exhibitions.
    Product Line Research:
  • Identify, analyze, and make recommendations on opportunities, busineseses, products, technologies, and ideas that may enhance and all value to MSI by creating a competitive advantage versus global competitors.
  • Evaluate the potential benefits and risks associated with new business opportunities.  The focus should be on additional opportunities within the medical device industry and niche non-medical applications.
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The PM position will supervise cross functional groups within the organization to assure that projects are completed in a timely manner.  Although the PM's will be supervising these groups and leading these teams they will not be direct reports, but an Applications Technician may report to the PM.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Conduct the daily responsibilites of purchasing parts for Bill of Materials and supplies for manufacturing. Must have a working knowledge of M1 and be able to use Arena and PDM Works to obtain current prints of the parts that need to be orderd on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Purchasing of parts for Bill of Materials and supplies for manufacturing.
  • Keep track of M1 reports on Purchase Orders and Vendors and taking corrective action when problems arise.
  • Responsibilities overlap with the all other positions in the Shipping/Receiving/Purchasing Department to ensure all duties are covered in the event of anyones absence.
  • May require receiving shipments of parts and supplies, unbox/unwrap them, inspect for damage and defects, ensure packing list is correct and deliver them to the proper location.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The assembler is responsible for mechanical & electrical assemblies of duplicate & R&D equipment with minimal supervision of assembly champion.  Prior assembly experience is requred.  (1 to 2 years).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Building equipment from a Work Order
  • Mechanical assembly of machine and machine sub-assemblies.
  • Electrical wiring from electrical schematics.
  • Pneumatic plumbing from pneumatic schematic.
  • Document any changes to electrical & pneumatic schematics. (Notify Electrical Engineer.)
  • Document any print & machine changes. (Notify Mechanical Engineer.)
  • Take Digital Pictures of machine build process & final build. (Supervisor will download data.)
  • Update any changes to Bill of Materials (BOM).  (Notify Engineering & Purchasing)
  • Fill out IPI (In-process inspection report) thru out machine build.
  • File all Manufacture's literature w/ machine file.
  • File all manufacture’s CERTS w/ machine file.
  • Responsible for tools & work station issued to employee.
  • Engineering Design & Manufacturing Standards Book (read & sign-off)
  • Able to read Mechanical blue prints
  • Final machine buy off on standard SC & FFS machines
  • Able to machine & modify simple components (manual lathe & mill)
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed.
